Some of you may be here to learn about my current trip to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I welcome your interest and your support. ❤️
I am beginning a journey to help the people among me who need it, as I return from exile and find ruins.
This will take time, effort, money, and many helpers. I hope that I can count you among them.

Puerto Rico is a food desert.
Policies from the U.S. forced the people of the island become import-dependent. 85% of food is imported, making food 26% higher on average, and even on things that could be grown on the island. Without infrastructure and distribution, vegetables and fruits stay very high-priced and are rarely included in people’s diets.
I took this photo yesterday.
Just 4oz of lettuce costs well over $7 when you include 11% tax.
⭐️How much would it cost to feed a family the recommended daily allowance of veggies? That’s a lot of math, but I know it rules out most families here.
46% of Puerto Ricans live below the US poverty line compared to 9-12% on the mainland of the U.S.
FOURTY-SIX PERCENT!
JUST ADDED!
THERE IS A GO-FUND-ME for this part of the journey!
See the home I want to buy for a non profit. HERE and share the link, if you would please.
And there are beautiful photos! ⬇️
