Prayer is the hunger of the heart and how we lay claim to our identity
One of the greatest inspirations to me is the life, work, and witness of Dr Howard Thurman.
Ours is a time when his wisdom is more important than ever for wholeness, healing, and finding our way.

Dr Thurman (1899-1981) founded the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples in San Francisco in 1944. This was the first fully integrated, interfaith church in the United States. Thurman's vision for the church was to create a space where people from all racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds could come together in worship, fellowship, and community without facing discrimination or segregation.
The church played a significant role in promoting racial and social justice during a time of widespread segregation and discrimination in the United States. Thurman's work with the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples contributed to the advancement of civil rights and paved the way for greater inclusivity and understanding in religious communities.
