Let’s start off 2024 with a short bit of necessary inventory.

First,
take a few big and deep inhales and exhales. You made it to another year. Give your body all the air it needs and let it expand into what is to come with strength and hope.

Now, privately on paper (or in the comments) list somethings you have now that you once prayed for, hoped for, longed for, wished for, or struggled for.

When we are forgetful of our blessings, how starved can be are sense of joy and then how anemic our hope can be.

It takes time and a slower pace to enjoy what we have. Instead, we race onward in dissatisfaction desiring we still want. Let us be still to have and want what we have hoped for.

Our impatience shortchanges us into having continual restless discontent.
