As I reflect for a moment on 2023 I realize that emerging from the Covid plague has been harder for me and many of us in strange and confusing ways. In ways that have come sideways and covertly. Maybe you have felt some of this too?

for now I want to move on to this week’s topic and something I’m thinking about as we move into 2024. It is inspired by someone we lost on Dec 26, 2021 at the age of 90 years old: Archbishop of the Anglican Church in South Africa and wise elder Desmond Tutu.

Forgiveness is the only way that imperfect people can move forward together in the absence of perfect justice, which is impossible; or incontestable power, which always ends being worse than whatever problems it may solve.
