Hello!

Nice to see you.

Recovering from the flu is just no fun at all, is it?

When I returned home my cat Kip was ill. Stuffy and sneezing. Tired and delirious. Poor thing.

And then I caught something. Fever, chills, exhaustion, terrible headache, sore throat, body aches, congestion. Flu I think. It seems like so many people have colds right now in Pennsylvania. 😣 ugh

As of now my fever broke but I’m dealing with a head cold type of thing. I’m kind of miserable and using lots of tissues. But, it won’t last forever.

The world is war weary and my heart is broken open with all the news of death and destruction. As I’ve been recovering mentally, physically, emotionally, and readjusting to the climate and Autumn in my part of the world, I sense deeply that I must ease into something below the flux. I must nurture that of me that is non anxious and at peace.

I must embrace and abide in the mysteries of silence and deep rest while also not turning away from the suffering of others. Holding space for the large lament and not adding to the onslaught of expressions that cry out, perhaps only in vain, for justice and reconciliation.

How do we hold space?
What say you?
