I’ve been in Puerto Rico since February 6 and for a bit over a week, I’ve been in a remote area on the West side near the town of Aguada. Jungle and fruit bearing plants like pigeon peas, oranges, bananas, coconuts, soursop, are somewhat accessible and in season. Other things like mangoes, avocado, pineapple and dozens more aren’t ready yet. With a machete and skill up and down very steep inclines, sometimes you can get somethings for yourself.
Ory, the son of the owner of Earthship PR, introduced me to the creeping plant where loofah comes from and described how I could make it.
It’s so fascinating. I’ll show you!
